Bugtopia is a German-language educational comedy point & click adventure.
You've just started your practical module as part of your astro-archaeology studies when you crash-land on Earth, right into a derelict university, ten thousand years after the extinction of mankind. Also, you are an alien octopus. Will you manage to escape the building and its civilisation of intelligent cockroaches?
I originally created Bugtopia as part of my job at an e-learning repository run by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia, which is why it includes not only the kind of puzzles typical for the genre, but also some that involve the correct formalities for seminar papers or German punctuation (which means you probably won't get very far if you don't speak the language).
At its heart, though, Bugtopia is an old-school, LucasArts-inspired game, featuring one and a half dozen locations, around twenty characters and likely more than a thousand hand-drawn frames of animation (plus an adaptive hint system to ensure you'll definitly get to see all of that).
Bugtopia is a one-man project - I handled the design and programming as well as the script, art & animation and music, just so you know who to blame.
The game has been released under a Creative Commons license. It's free to download and redistribute (although I'd appreciate it if you could buy me a coffee).

Why writing the resume in english if you proposed an German language only ? I still don't understand why people doesn't propose english, you deprive of 99% of the users here...

The reason the game is not in English is that it is unfortunately impossible to translate without making significant design changes, as it was created as part of a German language e-learning course. The description, however, is (at the time of writing this) only in English, as the majority of German players speak English anyway, and it also gives non-German speakers the opportunity to read about my work.
